Inspired. But stuck.

I had this inspired sentence on Saturday.  I have been working working working to make it into something.  But, sometimes, a sentence is just a sentence.

As James St. James once said, "It's really a shame you can't publish a sentence. I'm convinced it would be a best-seller."

(Okay, I'm not sure if he really said it, but Seth Green said it in Party Monster.  But whatever.  Here's my sentence.)

"I shall never take music for granted."

There.  My bestseller.

  1. I also have a single sentence. I've had it for years. It commemorated my sister, and then she passed away before I had a chance to write something around it. Then I wrote a book about the post office. I don't think it will ever be published, but by gum, right in the middle I made up a woman and had her say my sentence. It feels really good to have given it a home instead of having it flapping out all by itself in the breeze.
